Power Through Basketball

Better than yesterday, not as good as tomorrow.

About Power Through Basketball

PTB creates the best environment for basketball players to challenge their own development with specific basketball drills and learning to use those skills in competition.  As a skilled basketball player that competed in Division I (Butler University), II (Mercyhurst College) & at the Professional Level (ABA, PBL & NBL-Canada), I have learned a lot of valuable basketball lessons.  These lessons are missing in youth basketball and it’s evident if you go to one weekend tournament.  With my background in education, we have structured collaborative and challenging workouts to help players maximize their potential in the best environment possible for development.  “How you do anything, is how you do everything.”

All PTB coaches create similar practice environments to successful programs, where players have accountability and high expectations put upon them.  Without challenging our athletes, they may never reach their full potential.  We are here to teach players to Power Through those obstacles.  Life is full of adversity and basketball is a great way to teach our youth some grit!  Let’s get in the gym, work hard, learn and grow together!

Thank you,

Coach Elliot Engelmann

Skill Development

Building basketball skills and other skills that will transfer to the court is Power Through Basketball’s primary focus. From ball handling, finishing around the rim, body control, shooting and footwork, Power Through Basketball can help your student athlete improve.

Focus and Communication

These real world skills are essential to success both on and off the court. Power Through Basketball will always speak about the importance of Focus and Communication.

Challenge Young Athletes

Power Through Basketball will provide mental and physical challenges to push participants to think and work harder both on and off the court.

Testimonials

Micah & Noah Marty on small group training for his sons

“Coach Elliot’s training approach has helped our children not only improve their skills but also their overall confidence in themselves. His energy is contagious and strives to make each session count!”

Latif Veton on training for his son

Since working with Elliot my son’s skill set has completely changed. He first met Elliot when he was 8, now he is 11. Elliot coaches with a passion for the game and makes it very fun and enjoyable for the kids, while still being serious enough to get them to learn. Elliot brings out your child’s strengths that will make them standout in the group that other coaches may overlook. My son is a 6th grader who also tried out for the Junior High 7th and 8th grade teams and made those as well. Prior to meeting Elliot he had no formal basketball training. I really wish we would have met him sooner. His enthusiasm in coaching and professionalism sets him apart. I strongly recommend you give him a chance with your athlete, you will not be disappointed.”
